asian sea bass

Asian flavours are always a winner in my book. This recipe is really easy and tastes sublime. Perfect for dinner for two.

Serves 2.

Ingredients:
2 sea bass
1 tablespoon mirin
20g of finely grated ginger
20g of ginger cut into match sticks and fried till crispy
5 spring onions cut in half
4 tablespoons of light olive oil
3 tablespoons of light gluten-free soya sauce
A sprinkling of roasted sesame seeds (optional)

How:
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Then put the spring onions in a baking dish and place the fish on top.
Stick the grated ginger into the cavity of both fish and put the rest of the ingredients onto the fish, cover in foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Serve with the sauce the fish is baked in and sprinkle with the sesame seeds , chopped spring onions and ginger sticks. Goes really well with steamed rice and my Japanese beans.

  1. This was so simple to make and the result was perfection. I did it once with Sea Bass and the next day with Salmon which also tasted great. I’ve tried a few dishes on this blog and have been impressed with everything that I’ve cooked (haven’t always been able to say that!)
